Medak Police Organizes National Mega Lok-Adalat, Returns Rs. 11.44 Lakh to Cybercrime Victims

Medak, Nov. 15 (PMI): Medak Police successfully organized a National Mega Lok-Adalat aimed at providing relief to cybercrime victims and resolving pending cases through compromise. During the event, 503 cases were settled, and Rs. 11.44 lakhs were returned to the affected citizens.

District Superintendent of Police, D.V. Srinivasa Rao, IPS, highlighted the significance of Lok-Adalats in promoting democratic partnership and offering peaceful dispute resolution outside conventional courts. He emphasized that such initiatives play a crucial role in restoring faith among citizens who have suffered financial or personal losses due to cybercrime.

The Mega Lok-Adalat served as a platform where both victims and perpetrators could amicably settle disputes, reducing the burden on courts while ensuring justice. Officials also noted that cyber awareness and safety programs would continue alongside such initiatives to educate the public on safeguarding themselves from online fraud.
