Speaking at a public rally in Bengaluru on Sunday, he stressed that announcement of enhanced MSP for agriculture produce, tax exemption to Farmers Producers Organisations, Operation Greens yojana for vegetable, fruits and flower growers, greater allocation for rural infrastructure, schemes to improve agri markets and other infrastructure will benefit the farmers.
He noted that the world’s biggest health assurance programme Ayushman Bharat announced in the Budget will ensure health cover to the poor.
He said greater allocation to Mudra yojana, tax rebates and Make in India programme will help MSMEs.
He emphasised on infrastructure development such as Bharatmala yojana will generate jobs.
Highlighting the work culture of BJP based on Sab Ka Saath Sab ka vikas that also believes in improving ease of doing business, the Prime Minister charged that the Congress Government in Karnataka is based on divide and rule policy, faces charges of corruption and has failed to curb crime rate.
Listing out the failure of Karnataka State Government in utilising Central grants properly, he pointed out that under Swachh Bharat Urban mission the state has not utilised Rs. 70 crore, out of 3.5 lakh toilets, it has built only one lakh 32,000 toilets.
Under Smart city programme out of Rs. 836 crore sanctioned, it has not spent Rs. 309 crore, out of 3,36000 houses to be built under Pradhana Mantra Awas Yojana, only 39000 houses are built and it has spent the least on health sector among the Southern states.
Central Government, he said, has sanctioned Rs. 17000 crore for a suburban railway project that will ease traffic in Bengaluru and Rs. 82,000 crore given for 44 big projects mainly in railway and road sectors.
He called upon people of Karnataka to elect a BJP government for speedier implementation of development programme.
The rally also marked the culmination of 85 day long Navakarnataka Nirmana Parivarthana Yatra that was conducted across the state under the leadership of State party President B S Yeddyurappa.
