Hyderabad, April 25 (Press media of india): It is the responsibility of the Coaches to inculcate enthusiasm and interest among children in the games in which they have chosen, bring out their hidden talent and mould them as national and international players, Mayor Vijay Lakshmi R. Gadwal, said while inaugurating GHMC Summer Coaching Camp, 2022 at Victory Play Ground here today.
Mayor said, “I am very glad to see you all (children) who come here to participate in summer coaching camp for various sports activities, as it improves mental and physical ability of the children and keeps them fit and healthy. It also gives them an opportunity to meet children from among children of all walks of life at one place and brings a healthy environment among them which is need of the hour. Mayor appealed to the children to utilise this opportunity and make use of playgrounds, sport complexes belongs to GHMC as most of intuitions do not have such sports facilities.
Earlier, introduction of coaches to the Mayor, March-past by the participants took place and performance of traditional sport Mallakhamb (Mallakhamb is a traditional sport, originating from the Indian subcontinent, in which a gymnast performs aerial yoga or gymnastic postures and wrestling grips in concert with a vertical stationary or hanging wooden pole, cane, or rope).
Corporators Beeshwa Surekha, Lal Singh, Zonal Commissioner Ravi Kiran, Addl Commissioner (Sports) Saroja, Deputy Commissioners M.K. Ali, Narsimha, Srinivasulu, sports Director Basha, Joint Commissioner Tipparti Yadaiah, Games inspector Madhavi and other senior officials participated in the program. (PMI)
