Hyderabad, : Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi president Manda Krishna Madiga here on Sunday called on senior State BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Home Kishan Reddy and urged the latter to help expedite the process of classification of Scheduled Castes.
Speaking to the media later, the MRPS leader alleged that some selfish elements were politicizing the SC categorization issue with an intention to get publicity in the media. Reiterating that the SC community will be strengthened only after their categorization, Krishna Madiga said the Mala brethren should realize the fact that the classification of the SC community will fetch them more benefits.
Expressing hope that the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre would take up the issue favourably, the MRPS leader said senior BJP leaders like Kishan Reddy and Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu were backing their demand.
