Malkajgiri She Teams arrest 81 during two-week anti-harassment drive

HyderabadFeb 2 (PMI) As part of intensified measures to prevent harassment of women, the Malkajgiri She Teams arrested 81 persons, including 64 adults and 17 juveniles, during a special anti-harassment drive conducted between January 1 and 15.

Police said a total of 97 complaints were received during the period. Of these, 17 were related to phone harassment, 36 to social media abuse, and 44 to direct or physical harassment. Based on the complaints, nine criminal cases were registered, 29 petty cases were booked, and 52 individuals were counseled.

She Teams officials also acted promptly in several serious incidents, including cases involving blackmail using personal photographs, molestation of a woman on the road, harassment of a college student, and stalking of a young woman.
