Hyderabad, Deputy Chief Minister Mahamood Ali today said the TRS will retain power with 100 seats in 2019 general elections. He welcomed a good number of leaders and workers of the Congress, BJP, MIM and Telugu Desam parties joining the TRS at a program held in the Old city. When Prem Singh Rathod and Mahammed Akhil led the team of leaders and workers, Mahmood Ali welcomed them with traditional pink shawls.
Speaking on the occasion, Mahmood Ali said the Telangana State was witnessing monumental development in all sectors. He said the people in the State were happy with the double bedroom housing, pensions and other welfare schemes and will support the ruling party in the next elections despite the vilification campaign launched by the Opposition parties, especially the Congress. He said the Congress may secure a few seats here and there as it does not enjoy public support.
The Deputy Chief Minister Ali also said K Chandrasekhar Rao emerged as No 1 CM in the country as he was spending Rs 40,000 crore on welfare of all sections of the people. No other State in the country was spending such huge funds for the welfare, he claimed. He said the TRS Government was committed to the welfare of poor girls and offering them Rs 75,116 towards their marriage expenses through Shadi Mubarak and Kalyan Lakshmi schemes and offering pensions like never before. Education for Muslim Minorities was given top priority by the Chief Minister, who opened up adequate number of schools with better facilities, he said. He exhorted the people to support the ruling party for more welfare schemes and rapid development of the State.
