Hyderabad Jan 8 (PMI): Hyderabad is famous for many things in the world and poetry is one of them. We have seen poets gathering or meeting every month to present their new poetry with fellow poets has been going on for a long time under various organizations or banners where prominent poets take part in it. One such gathering of poets is Mahfil-e-Radeef which is being organized since thirty eight (38) years under the supervision of Bazm-e-Firdaude Adab. The founder of the Mahfil-e-Radeef was Khateeb-e-Sadiq and prominent poet Janab Dr Syed Sadiq Ahmed Naqvi. Mahfil-e-Radeef was organized by him under the supervision of Bazm-e-Firodus Adab at his residence until he migrated to United State of America (USA) and before migration he handed over the responsibility to organize Mahfil-e-Radeef every month to Shayer-e-Asghar-e-Besheer Janab Syed Mohammed Mujtaba Jaffery (Anwar Jaffery) which he continued till his last breath. After his (Anwar Jaffery) demise, Syed Hussain Ali sajjad who was very closed with Late Dr Syed Sadiq Ahmed Naqi and brother of Late Anwar Jaffery continued to organize the Mahfil-e-Radeef under the supervision of Bazm-e-Firdous and its members.
The Mahfil-e-Radeef is organized on 2nd Friday of every month and only “Radeef” is given to the poets. This Month Radeef given to poets was “NE” (Urdu word). Seventeen poets participated in this month’s Mahfil-e-Radeef and recited their kalam (poetry). Janab Mumtaz Danish Saheb, Janab Mazhar Abedi Saheb, Janab Taqi Gulgargvi Saheb, Janab Jameel Razvi Saheb, Janab Kausar Razvi Saheb, Janab Mir Roshan Ali Saheb, Janab Layeeq Saheb, Janab Zeeshan Saheb, Janab Ali Jawad Shahper Saheb, Janab Yawar Saheb, Janab Dildar Hussain Abedi Saheb, Janab Raza Ali Safdar Saheb, Janab Rayees Saheb Janab Yawar Hussain Saheb, Janab Mohsin Saheb, Janab Mustafa Saheb and Janab Ahsan Abedi Saheb.
