Hyderabad, October 14(PMI) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) candidate Maganti Sunitha, wife of late MLA Maganti Gopinath, is set to file her nomination for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election on Wednesday between 11 am and 1 pm.
With the official notification for the bypoll now issued, nominations are being accepted daily from 11 am to 3 pm. According to party insiders, the BRS leadership has decided to keep the nomination filing low-key, with only four representatives accompanying Sunitha, opting instead to intensify grassroots campaigning.
The BRS is ramping up efforts ahead of the November 11 polling, with a massive rally planned for October 19 in Jubilee Hills. Senior leaders, including KT Rama Rao and T Harish Rao, are expected to lead campaign operations on the ground in the coming days.
Sunitha’s candidature is seen by party leaders as a tribute to Gopinath, who was well-regarded for his strong rapport with the constituency. The BRS currently holds the seat and is determined to retain it at any cost.
The party has already launched door-to-door outreach and ward-level meetings, focusing on:
-
Showcasing welfare schemes from the previous BRS government
-
Criticizing the Congress government for unfulfilled promises
The Jubilee Hills by-election has emerged as a crucial test for both parties, with the BRS aiming to consolidate its presence amid an evolving political landscape.(pressmediaofindia.com)
