Jagan alleged 30 murders, 300 attempted murders, and widespread property destruction in 45 days under TDP rule.
NEW DELHI’ 24 July 24 (PMI) YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy accused Nara Lokesh, Minister and son of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, of orchestrating the violence in Andhra Pradesh ever since TDP came to power. Speaking to media persons after inaugurating a photo gallery showcasing instances of violence and destruction, Jagan urged the national media to highlight the breakdown of law and order in Andhra Pradesh under the TDP government. He claimed that the 45 days since the TDP coalition came to power have been marked by “anarchic and barbaric rule,” with rampant violence and a complete erosion of peace. He accused the government of targeting YSRCP members and supporters, alleging over 30 murders, 300 attempted murders, and widespread destruction of private and public property.,
He specifically targeted Nara Lokesh, accusing him of orchestrating the violence through a ‘Red Book’ containing details of YSRCP members and instructions for attacks. Reddy claimed this ‘Red Book’ was circulated widely, even displayed on hoardings, superseding the Indian Constitution with a ‘Red Book Constitution.’ Jagan Mohan Reddy drew a stark contrast with his party’s previous tenure, asserting that no such violence or targeting took place under their rule. He emphasised that if the current anarchy and violence are not questioned and stopped immediately, democracy in the state will be at stake. He urged the national media to examine the photo and video evidence presented in the gallery, understand the gravity of the situation, and stand with the people of Andhra Pradesh in safeguarding democracy. He appealed for their support in restoring peace and upholding the democratic values of the state
