Hyderabad, Sept.22 (PMI): Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today adjourned the House sine die after the House approved the Appropriation Bill for Rs 1.46 lakh crore after a debate in the House.
Speaker Srinivas Reddy, who was in the chair, announced the House adjourned sine die after adoption of the Appropriation Bill after a marathon discussion. The bill was introduced by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Earlier, the Speaker announced House committees. He named AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi as chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Solipeta Linga Reddy as chairman of Estimates Committee and Ashannagari Jeevan Reddy as chairman of Public Undertakings Committee. The members of this committee are Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao, Prakash Goud, Abraham, Shankar Naik, Dasari Manohar Reddy, Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao, Ahmed Pasha Quadri and Korukanti Chandar.
During its 10-day sitting, the House worked for 58 hours six minutes and passed three bills and a resolution.
