Laxman, who embarked on a week-long Telangana Vimochana Yatra, arrived in Bhongir and spoke to the media. He alleged that the TRS government, under the pressure of MIM party, was not celebrating the Hyderabad Liberation Day officially though Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had supported it before becoming Chief Minister of the State during Telangana agitation.
Responding to a question, the State BJP chief refuted reports that there was no possibility of having an electoral alliance with the ruling TRS party. He also clarified that there was no chance of the TRS joining the Narendra Modi cabinet.
Laxman said Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh would attend a public meeting to be organized in Nizamabad on September 17. He said if the ruling party fails to celebrate the Hyderabad Liberation Day officially, his party would announce celebration of the day officially after coming to power in 2019. (PMI)
