Hyderabad : The Union government is holding discussions to bring out a comprehensive law to curb supply of inferior seeds, said Union minister for labour & employment Bandaru Dattatraya here today.
Participating as chief guest in a function organised by Telangana unit of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh atKeshav Memorial School at Narayanguda here today, Dattatreya expressed concern over the farmers committing suicides due to low income and high investment. “The Narendra Modi government is trying to mitigate problems of the farmers in the country and one of the reasons for the loss of the farmers is supplying of sub-standard seed”, he said, adding that the Centre would bring a comprehensive law to curb supply of inferior seeds.
Telangana ERC member H Srinivasulu, RSS Pranth Karyavahak Chandrasekhar, BKS state general secretary Sridhar Reddy, STTE secretary P Venkat Reddy and B Mallareddy and others attended the function.
