Hyderabad, : The birth anniversary celebrations of former chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh state, YS Rajasekhara Reddy, was held at TPCC headquarters Gandhi Bhavan and APCC headquarters in the city. The senior congress party leaders paid rich tributes to the YSR portrait by garlanding it.
Senior leaders like APCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy, Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachander Rao, former TPCC President Ponnala Laxmaiah, former ministers Shabbir Ali, TPCC working president Kusuma Kumar , Vice President Mallu Ravi , former MP M Anjan Kumar Yadav and Goodur Narayana Reddy and Kumar Rao, G. Rudra Raju and Dasoju Shravan took part in the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Raghuveera Reddy said that the people of the two states were happy during YSR’s rule. He also said that all the welfare programmes introduced by YSR had reached all sections of the society. Reddy said that he was fortunate enough to work as a minister in YSR’s cabinet. He said that they would continue to work hard for the realization of YSR’s ideals.
