Labour & Empowerment Minister And Rachakonda CP Inaugurates Community CCTV cameras in Medipally

Hyderabad, 22nd Feb’20 (PMI): Labour & Empowerment Minister Chamakura Malla Reddy, along with Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhagwat, IPS, on Saturday inaugurated 60 Community CCTV cameras as a part of expanding Community CCTV camera network across Rachakonda Police Commissionerate. The CCTV Cameras were  installed in eight colonies of Peerzadiguda Municipal area including Sai Aishawarya Colony, Sai Priya Colony, Satyanarayanapuram  Colony, Gokul Nagar Road, Parvathapur main road, Gandhi Nagar Colony Road, Sri Rama RTC Colony and Vishnupuri Enclave at a cost Rs 12,17,000.

The cameras were installed at strategic locations covering the entry and exit points, main routes and crime-prone areas in the localities. Till date, 354 Community CC Cameras and 5,420 Nenu Saitham Cameras have been installed under the limits of Medipally Police station limits. Three snatching cases, a house burglary and some robbery cases were detected based CCTV footages and recovered the stolen property. CCTV Cameras were installed recently in many colonies under Boduppal and Peerzadiguda municipal areas.

Speaking on the occasion, Malla Reddy said it was a great initiative where the citizens, with the help of police, have taken initiative for security of the people living in the area. Community CCTV cameras play vital role in day-to-day policing and they were helpful in detection of many crimes and speeded up investigation. The CCTV cameras help the police in identifying the offenders, their role and style of committing the offence. The minister exhorted people and local public representatives to ensure installation of more cameras and make Boduppal and Pheerzadiguda municipal areas at the top in the State.

Mahesh Bhagwat IPS, CP Rachakonda has said.. CCTV cameras became an important aspect of modern day policing and many sensational and ordinary crime is being detected with the footages. He urged the citizens and public representatives to come forward and install more number of cameras in their respective arras. He applauded and thanked the Minister Malla Reddy for coming forward for this great initiative of sponsoring the funds for the project. The local people and commuters of the road will definitely have a feel safety and security with this project.

 

Responding to the minister’s appeal, some good samaritans came forward on the spot and donated cheques for installation CCTV cameras under Medipally police limits. CP Mahesh Bhagwat, Peerzadiguda Mayor Jakka Venkat Reddy, ACP Malkajgiri Narashimha Reddy, SHO Medipally Sridhar Reddy, Inspector IT Cell Rachakonda and his team and others were present. (PMI)
