Hyderabad, July 27 (PMI): Telangana Rashtra Samithi working president and Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao lashed out at the Union government for suspending his party MPs from Rajya Sabha for the monsoon session.
In a tweet on Wednesday, KTR said the Union government is supressing the voice of opposition parties and it is being denied to discuss on the issues of price rise once, inflation and GST hike in essential commodities.
“It’s a shame that instead of agreeing to a discussion & debate on inflation, price rise & GST hike on essentials, NPA Govt decided to suspend 3 @trspartyonline MPs from Rajya Sabha for 10 days. What’s the Govt afraid of? Why stifle the voice of opposition?,” KTR said.
Meanwhile, Minister KT Rama Rao has directed the officials to take up relief measures and ensure there was no loss of human life following the rains that lashed across the State, including several areas in Hyderabad.
The Minister held a video conference with Municipal Administration and Urban Development Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar and senior officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and HMWSSB at Pragathi Bhavan here on Wednesday. (PMI)
