Hyderabad, June 28 ( ALI ABBAS PMI): Municipal and IT Minister KT Rama Rao today stated that Hyderabad is fast developing in all sectors.
With Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, KTR inaugurated some link roads at hutec city area and participated in some development programs in the city. Six more roads are nearing completion and to be made available for traffic and public. Roads are key for the city development he said adding that chief minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao is for speedy development of the roads and basic facilities and infrastructure. To cater to growing traffic needs more roads for missing and link roads to come up. A total of Rs 6000 Cr to be spent for strategic road development plan. After first phase with Rsc13 Cr we will take up second phase with Rs 65 of roads and Rs 232 Cr for another phase, he said.
These roads will ease rush on main roads and highways and planned program with Rs 1800 Cr under CRMP, KTR said. No other states took up such as Telangana taken up 134 link and missing roads, KTR claimed.
The minister said that the traffic problems in the city will be addressed with these roads. We made necessary arrangements by laying new roads to check heavytraffic and congested roads. The minister started them as part of the first phase of the works.
The government spent about Rs 27.43 cr to complete them. In the first phase 37 link roads are planned by spending Rs 317 cr in the city he said. The HMDA, GHMC and officials of other wings decided for the inauguration of these four roads. The government took up several link roads to ease off traffic problems and improve connectivity in the city.
He said that as many as 135 link roads stretching 126.20 km are planned to complete construction towards easing traffic problems in the city. Of the roads planned by the officials four roads are ready at several locations and Rs 27.43 cr were spent. He said that 37 link roads in the first phase will be built at a cost of Rs 317 cr in the city under strategic road development program. (PMI)
