KTR Criticises Chandrababu’s Antics Over EVM Issues In Delhi

Hyderabad: In chat session with the Media on Sunday, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Working President KT Rama Rao, exuded confidence that the TRS would win 16 parliamentary seats in the recently conducted Lok Sabha Elections. He also spoke about the friendly challenge that he had with his cousin and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao. KTR clarified that this was a friendly challenge just to enthuse the people and that Medak was KCR’s stronghold and the TRS would win the seat with a huge majority, he said.

Talking about Andhra Pradesh (AP) politics, he questioned Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s fear because of the Elections Commission’s (EC) directive to change the civil servants recently. He said that Chandrababu had lost faith in the public and was staging these street plays in Delhi today. Instead of accepting people’s verdict he is crying foul, KTR scoffed. He said that Chandrababu’s version if he were to win would be a technically correct, but if he lost then it was because of the glitches in EVMs. It is not appropriate to make such frivolous statements by a man of his stature, KTR criticised. If his statements were reliable then people would respect them, KTR said.

He also failed to understand as to a man who claims to have 40 years of political experience could make such derogatory statements about the EC etc. People understood that Chandrababu’s defeat was imminent looking at the way he went around bowing to the leaders, KTR said. Just because Rahul Gandhi was contesting from the South, he would make no impact on the results here, KTR clarified.

KTR also said that it was KCR’s mission to complete the local body elections by May 20 and after these elections the TRS government would move forward in the path of development. The Chief Minister was also in the plans of introducing new Municipal laws and re-organising the Revenue Department as part of the future plans, he said. KTR concluded that government will function free from any forms of bribery or corruption in the future.
