KTR Blasts CM Revanth Reddy Over Gurukul Schools Crisis

Hyderabad, Oct. 8 (PMI): BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has come down heavily on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of negligence and deliberate sabotage over the near-shutdown of Telangana’s Gurukul schools due to unpaid building rents.

KTR labelled the situation a “disgraceful and heartless act,” alleging that the Congress government is pushing the state’s model welfare education system into crisis. He blamed the Chief Minister—who also handles the Education portfolio—for ignoring nearly a year’s worth of rent arrears, causing school buildings to be locked and disrupting the lives of thousands of poor students.

He further alleged a larger conspiracy to dismantle the welfare architecture built by former CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao, including the successful Gurukul model which provided free, world-class residential education to BC, SC, ST, minority, and economically disadvantaged upper-caste students.

KTR criticized the Congress for also withholding fee reimbursement funds, accusing them of financial mismanagement and “bankrupting the future of Telangana’s youth.” He warned of a statewide agitation if the Gurukul institutions continue to be neglected.

Calling for immediate release of pending dues and transparency in public spending, KTR questioned the Congress government’s priorities, claiming that while the state’s debt has ballooned to ₹2.5 lakh crore, basic dues remain unpaid.(pressmediaofindia.com)
