Wanaparthy, March 2 (Shoukat–PMI): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has asserted that Union Minister Kishan Reddy is intentionally obstructing the progress of Telangana.
Speaking at a public gathering in Wanaparthy on Sunday, the Chief Minister recounted the challenges he faced in securing an airport for Warangal, noting that Kishan Reddy has falsely claimed responsibility for the Union government’s approval of the airport.
“Kishan Reddy is claiming credit for the initiatives that benefit Telangana. He takes the accolades for positive developments while blaming the Congress government for the projects that do not materialize,” he stated.
The Chief Minister accused Union Minister Kishan Reddy of obstructing crucial projects, including the expansion of the Metro, funding for the Musi Rejuvenation project, approvals for the Regional Ring Road, water allocations for the Palamuru Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme, and water provisions for Kaleshwaram.
Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has successfully brought metro services in Tamil Nadu, while her Cabinet colleague Shobha has done the same for Bengaluru. The question arises: why hasn’t Kishan Reddy brought the metro expansion project to his own state of Telangana, Revanth Reddy questioned.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had made a promise to create two crore jobs annually, should have facilitated the creation of 24 crore jobs over a span of 12 years.
He urged Kishan Reddy to clarify how many jobs Modi has actually delivered in Telangana. While the Prime Minister has appointed Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay to two ministerial positions, he has failed to contribute anything substantial to the development of Telangana in the past 12 years, Revanth Reddy highlighted.
