HYDERABAD’Oct 11’2023 (M A Rasheed -PMI) Even as the Congress is mired in squabbles and intra-party race for seats, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) supremo and Telangana Chief Minister KCR is all set to hit the road for election campaign on October 15 and will address 41 public meetings in the first phase before Dussehra.
The Chief Minister will first hand over the B-forms to the party candidates on October 15 followed by the release of party manifesto and begin the campaign with a Husnabad public meetingAccording to an official announcement by BRS on Tuesday, KCR will address election campaign meetings in 41 Assembly constituencies for 17 days, from the 15th of this month to November 9. He will take a break from October 19 to the 25 due to the Bathukamma and Dussehra festival. KCR will later resume meetings from the October 26. KCR will take a break from campaigning on November 4. On November 9, he will file nominations as a BRS candidate in Gajwel and Kamareddy and will address a public meeting at Kamareddy.
After announcing the candidates last month, Ministers KTR and Harish Rao have already toured more than 50 constituencies and addressed the respective Assembly segments, and are planning to cover each constituency two or three times. The party has focused on resolving issues between leaders and trying the bring unity among them, at places where there is resentment against the candidates within the party.
KTR pacified the disgruntled leaders in certain constituencies where the sitting MLAs were denied tickets. On Tuesday, the minister placated Jangaon MLA Mutthireddy Yadagiri Reddy and confirmed the ticket to Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and the official announcement on the remaining candidates will come soon.(Press media of india)
