Hyderabad, April 2 (Press media of india): Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao is in grief of losing power and his sins have hit his children that’s the reason his daughter Kavitha went to jail in connection with the liquor case.
He was speaking to the media here on Tuesday after inspecting arrangements for Congress party’s public meeting which is scheduled to be held at Tukkuguda on the outskirts of Hyderabad on April 6.
The Chief Minister said that he had sympathized with Kavitha going to jail, but it had happened due to sins of KCR.
Condemning the remarks of BRS president who alleged that Congress government has caused the drought situation in Telangana, Revanth Reddy said that KCR has inherited drought and debt and unfortunately, the Congress government is being blamed by the sins of KCR rule.
Responding to the incident of power cut during KCR’s press conference at Suryapet few days back, the Chief Minister said the BRS president held the press meet on the support of a generator, but he had blamed the Congress government for the loss of power cut.
“Officials said the power cut did not go out for even 30 seconds in Suryapet on that day. Some of your party leaders have deliberately stopped the generator. First find out who are obstructing you, but don’t blame the government,” Revanth Reddy said.
The Chief Minister reminded that during the tenure of BRS government, whenever the Congress party had called for any programme, all leaders were used to be arrested by police. But, the current Congress government has not acted like the previous government and moreover, it made all the arrangements for KCR’s visit, he said.
“Did you come out of the house if we thought like you? The BRS party has Rs.1,500 crores in its account. It can easily donate Rs.100 crores to farmers. KCR’s tour is purely for the Lok Sabha elections,” Revanth Reddy pointed out.
The Chief Minister said the Congress party is organising a huge public meeting at Tukkuguda on April 6 and AICC president Mallikharjuna Kharge and other top leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will attend and release party’s manifesto for the Lok Sabha polls on that day. (PMI)
