KCR failed to fetch Bifurcation benefits: Shabbir

Hyderabad,  Leader of the Opposition in the Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir today accused the KCR government of once again failing to get any benefits from the Center in the Union budget 2018.
Reacting to the Union budget presentation by the Union Finance Minister today, Shabbir Ali said Arun Jaitley had focused on granting sops to eight States that go to polls this year and neglected all the demands of Telangana during the division of the State. He also said the pro-corporate policies of the NDA government had led to huge loss of revenue to the exchequer. Rs 7,000 crore revenue was lost due to lower Corporate Tax for Rs 250 crore turnover companies and another Rs 19,000 crore revenue loss on direct taxes in last fiscal.
Instead of curbing black money and bringing hoarders to book, the NDA government increased the tax burden on the common man as demonetization and GST have let the big tax evaders off the hook and only brought in increased personal income tax collections. He said even after four years, the NDA government did not act on Bayyaram steel plant, Railway coach factory at Kazipet , 4000 MW power by NTPC, AIIM  and announcing Kaleshwaram as a national project. He asked as to why KCR remained silent over gross injustices to the State and the TRS MPs too did not raise their voice in parliament.
