Kadapa, October 5 (PMI): In a horrifying incident, a young man allegedly murdered his mother by slitting her throat following a heated argument in Sri Ram Nagar Colony of Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, on Sunday.
According to police, the accused, Yashwanth, an engineering graduate who was unemployed, had been staying in Hyderabad for the past few months. He frequently demanded money from his mother, Oplapati Lakshmi Devi, a government school teacher.
On Sunday morning, Yashwanth returned to Proddatur, where his mother advised him to look for a job instead of asking for money. Enraged by her words, he attacked her with a knife and slit her throat.
Shockingly, after committing the murder, Yashwanth reportedly sat listening to music.
Neighbors, upon seeing the body dragged from the bedroom to the veranda, immediately alerted the police. The police reached the spot, arrested the accused, and sent the body for a post-mortem. An investigation into the incident is underway.(pressmediaofindia.com)
