Jubilee Hills Bypoll: Voters Can Use 12 Photo ID Documents to Cast Vote

Hyderabad, Oct. 10 (PMI): Voters in the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election, scheduled for November 11, can cast their votes using any of 12 valid photo identity proofs, officials said.

District Election Commissioner R.V. Karnan released the list of accepted documents on Friday, emphasizing that the aim is to ensure that no eligible voter is left out and every voter can exercise their democratic right.

Voters whose names are on the electoral rolls but do not possess an Electors’ Photo Identity Card (EPIC) can still vote by presenting any one of the following approved documents at the polling station:

  1. Aadhaar Card

  2. MNREGA Job Card

  3. Bank/Post Office Passbook with photograph

  4. Health Insurance Smart Card issued by the Ministry of Labor or the Ayushman Bharat Health Card

  5. Driving Licence

  6. PAN Card

  7. Smart Card issued by Registrar General of India under the National Population Register (NPR)

  8. Indian Passport issued by the Ministry of External Affairs

  9. Pension document with a photograph

  10. Service Identity Card issued to employees by the Central/State Government, PSUs, or Public Limited Companies

  11. Official Identity Cards issued to MPs/MLAs/MLCs

  12. Unique Disability ID (UDID) Card issued by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment

Election authorities urged voters to carry one of these documents to avoid any inconvenience at polling booths. (pressmediaofindia. com)
