Hyderabad, November 13 (PMI): All arrangements for the Jubilee Hills by-election vote counting have been completed, said Returning Officer Karnan. The counting will begin tomorrow morning at 8 AM, and officials have prepared a comprehensive plan to ensure the smooth conduct of the election process.
According to Karnan, counting will start with postal ballots, followed by electronic voting machines (EVMs). Votes from 407 polling stations will be counted in 10 rounds. As there are 58 candidates in the fray, special permission was obtained to set up 42 counting tables.
A total of 186 personnel have been deployed for the counting process. Results will be immediately updated on the Election Commission’s official website, he added. To facilitate media coverage, special LED screens have also been installed at the counting center.
Discussing security arrangements, City Joint CP Tafseer Iqbal said strict security measures have been put in place around the counting centers. A total of 250 police personnel, 15 platoons, and Section 144 have been enforced.
Only authorized personnel will be allowed entry into the premises, and strict action will be taken against anyone disturbing law and order, he warned. (pressmediaofindia.com)
