Hyderabad, Oct 15(PMI)Surveillance teams deployed in the poll-bound Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency seized Rs 10 lakh in unaccounted cash during multiple operations on Wednesday.

According to officials, the Flying Squad Teams (FST) intercepted a vehicle at Ameerpet X Road and recovered Rs 1.5 lakh. Another Rs 2.3 lakh was seized from Venkatgiri Colony, while Rs 6.5 lakh was confiscated in Madhuranagar. The seized amount has been handed over to the Madhuranagar Police Station.

Authorities said that since the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) came into force on October 6, FST teams have recovered a total of Rs 88.45 lakh in cash, seized 225 liquor bottles, and registered 29 FIRs for violations of the election code.(pressmediaofindia.com)
