In Jammu & Kashmir, the 18 hour long anti terror operation at District Police Lines (DPL) Pulwama in south Kashmir after terrorists stormed the Lines in the wee hours of Saturday, concluded late last night. The attack left 11 people dead that includes 03 terrorists, 04 CRPF personnel and 04 J&K Police men. Four others including three CRPF personnel and one JK Police man who were injured in the initial round of firing, have been admitted in the Army’s Base Hospital in Srinagar.
Police and CRPF paid tributes to the slain security personnel and wreath laying ceremonies were also held. As reported earlier, a terrorist goup stormed DPL early morning yesterday and took shelter in buildings within DPL premises. Jaish-e-Muhammad has already claimed the responsibility of the attack. Police officials said all terrorists were taken to Gantamulla area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir and buried there.
Reports said that two buildings of the Police Premises were destroyed. One of the buildings was completely destroyed and the second one was partially damaged. The debris clearance work is going on within the premises
