RAFAH/ GAZA CITY: At least 300,000 Palestinians have fled Gaza’s Rafah, according to the United Nations, as Israel expands its offensive in the southern city and confronts Hamas fighters there.
Israeli tanks are moving deeper into the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza, witnesses said, after launching a series of intense air raids in the area.

Tens of thousands of Palestinians have been forcibly displaced once again as Israeli forces push further into areas in both the north and south of the Gaza Strip.
“What do they want from us?” Umm Ali, a displaced Palestinian, said.
“They are killing us and our children, shame on them. What can we do? We are staying on the street. We are being slaughtered.”
The Wafa news agency is reporting that several people were seriously wounded as Israeli jets bombed a home in the Brazil neighborhood in east Rafah.
All four of the Palestinians killed in an Israeli shelling in al-Zuwaida in the central Gaza Strip were children, according to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
