Irani gang busted, 32.5 tolas of gold ornaments recovered

Hyderabad, Jan.21 (PMI): On Monday, sleuths of Cyberabad Police Commissioner’s Special Task Force Team nabbed Waseem Abbas Siraj (Irani gang leader) and recovered the entire stolen property weighing 32.5 tolas gold ornaments worth Rs 11 lakh from the possession of the accused, who was involved in a series of six offences on October 22, 2018 within five hours.

            The accused were identified as Waseem Abbas Siraj, 34, of Thane District, Jai Kumar Rajak, 37, Taxi driver Railway Jabalpur, MP, Niyaz Mohd Khan, 44, of Laxmiguda village under Rajendranagar Mandal of RR District and Javeed Baali of Ambevalli, Mumbai was absconding.

Earlier, on a tip-off, gang leader Waseem Abbas Siraj was found in a rented room of Niyaz Mohd Khan at Rajeev Gruhakalpa, Satamrai, Samshabad, RR District. The sleuths rushed to the spot and nabbed him and recovered entire gold ornaments, which were stolen away by the accused on October 22, 2018 from the possession of the accused. Police said accused Waseem was arrested for six times earlier. He was a most wanted criminal. After his release from jail in November 2017, he along with his associates committed 58 offences of Robbery, Bank Cheating, diverting Attention in Mumbai, Thane, Varanasi, Allahabad and Patna. 

            Cyberabad Commissioner of Police appreciated the efforts of the Special Task Force in nabbing the interstate offenders and gangs, who operate in Cyberabad. He appealed to the public not to trust unknown persons, who divert the attention in the name of God or religious ritual or sentiment, not to hand over cash, gold or any valuable articles at any cost, not to believe the mesmerising words that gold or cash would get doubled with some magic or godly act, not to entertain or get into discussion/conversation with any suspicious persons or strangers and inform 100 or WhatsApp with photograph on 94906-17444 about movement of suspicious persons.
