According to officials, the juvenile, a school dropout from Alluri Sitharamaraju district, came in contact with Debendra, who is involved in Ganja smuggling. Together, they planned to transport Hashish oil to Hyderabad for easy money. Acting on credible information, police intercepted the boy at Ghatkesar railway station on October 17, and upon checking his backpack, found the contraband packed in two polythene covers, along with a mobile phone.
Preliminary investigation revealed that 40 to 50 kg of Ganja is used to prepare one kilogram of Hashish oil. Efforts are underway to nab the absconding main accused.
The police cautioned the public that possession, sale, or transportation of narcotic substances is a serious offense under the NDPS Act, punishable with imprisonment of up to 10 years or even the death penalty under Section 31A.

Officials also warned about the harmful effects of Hashish oil, including nausea, loss of coordination, depression, and potential brain damage, urging citizens to stay away from drug use and help build a drug-free society.
