He said that four thefts took place in the temples of Nagireddy Pate, Haveli Ghanpur, Chinna Shankarpet and Chegunta in Medak district last month. In this context, the investigation has been accelerated and while checking the vehicles at Gavvalapalli, Chinna Sankarampeta, some suspicious people tried to escape in a tatamanja car.
They are said to have been detained by the police. The SP said that the three old criminals identified as Aslam, Sheikh Ilyas and Sheikh Sameer from Nanded, Maharashtra, were among the arrested gang. The SP revealed that three cell phones, a car and gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 5 lakh 50 thousand have been recovered from the Antarashta gang.
