Hyderabad’ Oct’12’:(PMI)In the wake of the elections, police inspections are continuing in the Tri Police Commissionerates. In these inspections, the police are seizing gold, silver and cash that are being moved without any evidence. Cases have been registered and are being investigated. Income tax department officials are also informed. The details of the cash and gold seized in the checks conducted in different areas on Thursday are as follows.
Peerjadiguda: On Thursday evening, the Medipalli police conducted checks at Narapalli Venkatadri township and found Rs. 13.50 lakhs was seized.
Vengalaraonagar: SR Nagar police seized Rs 9.90 lakh being transported in a two-wheeler during the checks conducted at Satyam Theatre.
Ghatkesar Rural: Ghatkesar police seized Rs 7.2 lakh in a car during the checks conducted at the bypass road underpass.
Miyapur: A two-wheeler rider was found with 448.96 grams of gold ornaments during a vehicle inspection conducted by the Miyapur police near Gokul Chowrastha.
Abids: Abids police carried out checks at the old collectorate office, carrying Rs. Five lakh cash was seized.
Maheswaram: Maheswaram Police conducted vehicle checks at Ambedkar Square on Thursday and found Rs. 5.43 lakhs were seized.(Press media of india)
