One Nagamani in her advanced stage pregnancy was rushed to the hospital on Saturday with severe labour pains. However, the doctors refused to admit and told her that her delivery date is in October month. Even after her family members requested the doctors, no facility was provided to her at least to take rest.
As she developed severe pain, she was laid on a bench at the hospital verandah. Nagamani gave birth to a baby boy in minutes. Just half-an-hour after the delivery, the baby rolled off the bench and fell on the ground. The baby died due to the injuries.
To cover up the incident, the hospital staff immediately allotted Nagamani a bed and some treatment in a hush up manner. No case was registered so far and no postmortem was done to the baby.
Meanwhile, hospital superintendent Madhan Singh denied any negligence from the doctors. He said that the baby died due to improper growth and premature delivery.
However, Telangana Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao expressed anger over the hospital staff and directed the District Collector to probe the incident and submit a report.
