Indiramma Sarees Aim to Strengthen Women’s Dignity: Sudarshan Reddy

Nizamabad, Nov 23 (PMI News): P. Sudarshan Reddy, Advisor to the Government on Welfare and Development Schemes, distributed Indiramma sarees to rural women in Nizamabad on Saturday.

The event was attended by Nizamabad Rural MLA Dr. R. Bhupathi Reddy, Urban MLA Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta, Armur MLA Paidi Rakesh Reddy, Collector T. Vinay Krishna Reddy, and several officials. Women and representatives of women’s groups expressed happiness at receiving the attractive and high-quality sarees.

Addressing the gathering, Sudarshan Reddy said the government is prioritising women’s upliftment and empowerment, with several ongoing programmes aimed at enabling one crore women to become financially strong. He encouraged women to utilise government support to achieve economic and social advancement.

He noted that the government has ensured superior quality sarees this year to uplift women’s self-respect, and criticised the previous administration for supplying inferior material. He directed officials to ensure transparent, organised, and error-free distribution so that every eligible woman receives her saree.

Sudarshan Reddy added that adequate stocks have already been dispatched to all districts and assured that more will be provided if required, ensuring no beneficiary is left out. .(pressmediaofinddia.com)
