Dubai, Nov 9 (Spl correspondent Gulf Zeeshan Abedi-PMI) India will continue to send 1,75,025 pilgrims for Hajj 2026, the same quota as last year, following an agreement signed in Jeddah between Saudi Arabia’s Hajj Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah and India’s Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju.
The meeting between the two sides focused on enhancing logistics, accommodation, transportation, and health facilities for Indian pilgrims, aiming to make the Hajj experience smoother and more comfortable. Officials from both countries reviewed the ongoing preparations and agreed to maintain close coordination throughout the pilgrimage process.
According to an official statement, India reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring better services for pilgrims and strengthening cooperation with Saudi authorities.
During his visit, Minister Kiren Rijiju also toured Masjid Abd Allah ibn al-Abbas in Taif, near Makkah — a popular destination among Umrah pilgrims from India.(pressmediaofindia.com)
