KARACHI/ ISLAMABAD: International Lawyers Forum (ILF) along with the Civil Society celebrated the Diwali, the festival of lights at Shri Swaminarayan Temple situated at main M A Jinnah Raod Karachi headed by Chairman Nasir Ahmed Advocate. Dozens of young girls showered flowers on the members of ILF’s delegation arrived at Temple. The program started with the recitation of Holy Quran & National Anthem of Pakistan.
In his address, the Chairman ILF, Nasir Ahmed Advocate congratulated Hindu community, he said that on the occasion of Diwali, today’s public gathering proofs that all Pakistanis form all religions and sects are not only peaceful but their contribution for their own religion as well as others is exemplary and beacon light to follow suit across the world to maintain interfaith and harmony.
Nasir Ahmed Advocate further congratulated Hindu community and stated that to create panic and religious conflicts, the enemies of Pakistan attacked our worship places, dargahs, mazaraat, educational institutions, religious gatherings and processions many times but remained unsuccessful because the Pakistanis are the only nation in the world that always raised their voice against injustice and oppression.
Anand Ram Hotwani, the General Secretary of Shri Swaminarayan Trust thanked all gusts and stated that today’s occasion is evidence that there is no restriction for any religion in Pakistan to perform their religious activities according to their sects and believes while the ILF has won the hearts of all Pakistani Hindus through today’s combined function.
The General Secretary of Pakistan Sikh Council, Sardar Amar Singh invited all communities to come to Gurudwara on the occasion of birthday celebration of Baba Gru Nanak.
In his speech, the Bishop of Pakistan, Sadiq Daniel proudly appreciated the efforts of ILF towards interfaith harmony and brotherhood and congratulated all Hindus and ILF for their outstanding contribution.
