Hyderabad, Prof. Kanche Ilaiah has met director general of police (DGP) Anurag Sharma today and lodged a complaint stating that he has life threat from Arya-Vaishya community. He urged the DGP to provide security to him.
It may be recalled that Arya-Vaishya community people tried to lay a siege to Kanche Ilaiah residence on Sunday demanding that Ilaiah to withdraw his book unconditionally. The police foiled attempts of Arya-Vaishya community people to storm Ilaiah’s residence at Tarnaka. The police arrested some Arya-Vaishya people and shifted them to Amberpet Police Station. In this backdrop, Ilaiah met Anurag Sharma seeking protection.
