Hyderabad: On completion of 20 years, Ikebana International, Hyderabad chapter, is organizing a three-day Ikebana exhibition from September 24 to 26 and also showcase and celebrate State festival “Bathukamma” at Shilpa Kalavedika.
Addressing the media here today, Hyderabad chapter president A. Vineetha Sunil Kumar said Ikebana is a traditional art form of Japan, which involves creative arrangement of flowers, branches and leaves in various combinations. “Our organization is a non-profit voluntary organization established in 1997. The chapter has grown from strength to strength and held many exhibitions, he said.
Usha Bhagia, secretary, Sharmila Agarwal and Sukanya Reddy, vice-presidents said IT Minister K. Taraka Ramarao will be the chief guest and Burra Venkatesham, IAS, Tourism Secretary will be the guest of honour.
