Hyderabad-Feb’13 (PMI)Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has recently criticized the caste census survey being conducted in Telangana state. He said that there are many errors and irregularities in this survey, and it has become a completely fake survey. He alleged that the government is playing this drama to postpone the local body elections in particular. He alleged that the caste census is being used as a publicity stunt and that the Congress is turning this survey into a political weapon to justify its strong vote bank in Telangana. He made it clear that if the real data is not put before the people, this survey will be completely useless.
Moreover, there are many errors in the survey conducted by the government so far, and therefore, Bandi Sanjay suggested that the survey should be conducted again by going door to door to collect accurate data. He warned that only a survey with proper evidence will be useful to the people, otherwise it will turn into just a sham. He alleged that efforts are being made to gradually reduce the BC population and include other communities in the BCs. Bandi Sanjay commented that Muslims in particular should not be included in the BC category, as this would become a system that would be unfair to the genuine BCs.
