Hyderabad to Host 3-Day National Programme Celebrating Footwear Heritage

Hyderabad’Nov 22 (PMINEWS)Hyderabad is set to celebrate India’s rich footwear traditions with a three-day national programme from November 28 to 30. Organized jointly by Pleach India Foundation and the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) Hyderabad, the event will be held at the FDDI campus.

Governor Jishnu Dev Varma will inaugurate the exhibition and seminar, which aims to showcase the evolution of footwear design, craftsmanship, and heritage across India. The programme will feature talks by experts, designers, and heritage specialists, highlighting traditional techniques and modern innovations.

Students, researchers, designers, artisans, and the general public are invited to participate and explore the country’s footwear legacy. This initiative seeks to promote awareness of India’s diverse craft traditions while encouraging collaboration between designers, artisans, and academics. (pressmediaofindia.com)
