Hyderabad, March 9 (PMI): The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner’s Task Force (Khairatabad) team on Saturday arrested two drug peddlers at Musheerabad and seized 367 grams of hashish oil from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Jyothi Rathna Pradeep (34) and Kota Vijay Kumar (46).
According to police officials, Pradeep, along with his associate Mahaboob Basha, allegedly procured the hashish oil from a supplier in Visakhapatnam at a price of Rs 50,000 per litre and later sold it to customers in the city at higher rates.
Police said that on Saturday, Pradeep was handing over the hashish oil to Vijay Kumar at Musheerabad when the Task Force team conducted a raid and apprehended both accused on the spot.
A case has been registered against Pradeep, Vijay Kumar, and Mahaboob Basha at the Musheerabad Police Station. While Pradeep and Vijay Kumar have been arrested, police are making efforts to trace and arrest Mahaboob Basha, who is currently absconding.
