Hyderabad, Oct. 12 (Shoukat-PMI): Ahead of the upcoming Deepavali festival, Hyderabad South Zone Police conducted a coordination meeting with firecracker shop owners to ensure safety and compliance with licensing regulations. The meeting took place at the ACP Chatrinaka Division Office and was chaired by Sri Md. Majid, Additional DCP, South Zone, with ACP C.H. Chandrasekhar and SHOs from all South Zone police stations in attendance. Around 50 shop owners participated.
Police officials stressed that selling firecrackers without a valid license is strictly prohibited. Shop owners were instructed to follow all fire safety precautions to prevent accidents, and past incidents of firecracker explosions were discussed to raise awareness.
The notification from the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, regarding license issuance was distributed, and participants were warned that any violation of rules or safety norms would lead to strict legal action.
