Hyderabad Police, WSW, and MOWO to Host First-Ever Job Mela for Women Drivers

Hyderabad Dec 29 (PMI) In a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing women’s mobility, safety, and economic independence, the Women Safety Wing (WSW) of Telangana Police, in collaboration with MOWO Social Initiatives, is organising Hyderabad’s first-ever Job Mela exclusively for women drivers.

Ms. Charu Sinha, IPS, Additional Director General (ADG), Women Safety Wing, stated that the initiative seeks to create safe, dignified, and sustainable employment opportunities for women, while simultaneously strengthening women-centric transport services in the city.

The Job Mela is being jointly organised by Bharosa – Society for Protection of Women & Children, Women Safety Wing, Telangana Police, Hyderabad City Police, and MOWO Social Initiatives. The programme forms part of a broader effort to promote women’s empowerment through economic independence and improved access to safe mobility solutions.

The event will be held on 3rd January at 10:30 AM at Police Training College (PTC), Amberpet, Hyderabad. Women aged 21 to 45 years are eligible to participate in the Job Mela.

Officials noted that this initiative marks an important step toward encouraging greater participation of women in the transport sector while ensuring safety, respect, and long-term livelihood opportunities. (pressmediaofindia.com)
