Hyderabad (PMI) A mother from Bholakpur, Secunderabad, lodged a complaint against her son, Nacharama Taraka Rama Rao (40), a labourer, for physically assaulting her while under the influence of alcohol and causing a public nuisance.
Responding promptly, DCP Central Zone, Smt. K. Shilpavalli, IPS directed the Gandhinagar Police to investigate. The police registered an E-petty case under Sections 355 & 292 of BNS and Section 70(A & C) of the City Police Act.
Sri G. Harish Kumar, SIP, under the supervision of Inspector N. Bose Kiran, conducted the enquiry and filed the charge sheet. The accused was produced before the Hon’ble XIII Special Metropolitan Magistrate, Secunderabad, where Sri K. Ravi Shankar, Magistrate, sentenced him to 10 days’ imprisonment.
The authorities emphasized that any form of violence or abuse against parents will not be tolerated, sending a strong message to the public.
