Hyderabad police have reorganized the police stations in the city and created 11 new law and order police stations, 11′ 13 Traffic Police Stations and 5 new Women Police Stations new ACP divisions and two police zones.
The last time the city police was reorganised in 1987, the city’s population was around 25 lakhs.- Now 85 lakhs.
Hyderabad ‘May 20 ;(Najaf Ali Shoukat-PMI) ‘Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand IPS has announced that the Hyderabad Commissionerate has been reorganized after 35 years. He said that new police stations will be available in Hyderabad city from June 2. It is stated that new PSs are being set up in the city as per the increasing population. Within 35 years, the commissionerate had a population of 25 lakhs. Now the population of the city has increased to 85 lakhs. CP reminded that CM KCR said to give priority to peace and security.
In this context, 2 new DCP Zones, 11 ACP Divisions, 11 new Law and Order PSs, 13 Traffic Police Stations and 5 new Women Police Stations have been set up in the jurisdiction of the Commissionerate. It was announced that a new PS is being set up for the Secretariat. He said that Secretariat PS is being established in BRK Bhavan. It is stated that two ACPs and two inspectors will be on duty specially for Secretariat PS. He said that 148 policemen along with one DCP have been assigned for cyber crime.
