Hyderabad Police Launch #SafeRideChallenge to Promote Road Safety

Hyderabad, Oct. 13(Shoukat-PMI) In an innovative move to promote responsible driving, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, on Monday launched the #SafeRideChallenge, a social media campaign designed to make road safety a viral trend.

The initiative encourages motorists to record a short video or snap a photo before beginning their journey — showcasing themselves wearing helmets or fastening seat belts — and tag three friends or family members to do the same. The challenge aims to create a chain reaction on social media, particularly among youth and daily commuters.

“Safety never goes out of style. Every ride begins with a choice to protect yourself and those you love,” said Shri. V.C. Sajjanar, urging citizens to take part in the campaign. “Together, we can make safety the coolest trend of 2025.”

The campaign emphasizes three crucial safety habits — wearing helmets, fastening seat belts, and motivating others to follow suit. By blending creativity with digital engagement, the Hyderabad Police hope to instill a culture of accountability and safety on the city’s roads.

In recent years, the police have leveraged social media for awareness initiatives, using interactive formats to engage the public. With the #SafeRideChallenge, they aim to transform everyday safety compliance into a visible and community-driven movement(pressmediaofindia.com)
