HyderabadFeb 27 (PMI) Work under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) project has been expedited to address rising traffic congestion in the city. As part of the initiative, City Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar inspected the ongoing steel flyover construction at Mugdha Junction on Banjara Hills Road No 2 on Friday.
The inspection was conducted in the presence of senior police officials and representatives of GHMC and Megha Engineering. Officials said a total of seven flyovers and underpasses will be built over the next two years to establish a signal-free traffic network around KBR Park and reduce congestion in key corridors.
According to the Commissioner, the works are being executed in a phased and carefully planned manner to minimize inconvenience to the public. Major construction activities will be carried out during night hours to avoid daytime traffic disruptions.
Once completed, the junctions around KBR Park are expected to become signal-free, enabling smoother connectivity to the central, eastern and western parts of the city. Authorities will review traffic conditions during the initial two to three days of the works and implement route diversions if necessary.(pressmediaofindia.com)
