Hyderabad Govt School Teacher Misbehaves With Girl, Booked

Hyderabad: A schoolgirl sitting in the classroom was harassed by a teacher working in the same government school in Hyderabad. He has been charged for allegedly misbehaving with a female student while the victim was sitting all alone in a classroom.

According to the police officials, a case has been filed under the sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The minor, studying in 9th standard, has been shifted to Bharosa center for recording her statement, and counseling, the police added. Meanwhile a search is on to nab the accused teacher and the probe is underway, the police said.

Harassed Wife Jumps To Death In Nirmal

In another such incident in Nirmal, unable to tolerate harassment from her husband, a woman committed suicide in Sastri Nagar of Nirmal district. According to the town Circle Inspector John Diwakar, Sonika Reddy (31), is the daughter of Kunta Mohan Reddy and Bharati hailing from local Sastri Nagar. Three years ago Sonika Reddy got married to Uday Kiran Reddy hailing from Timmapur village, Bhainsa mandal. Their marriage went fine for a while.

After a while, Sonika Reddy’s husband started harassing her psychologically. Depressed over his behavior Sonika came to her father’s place in Sastri Nagar. On Wednesday, she left home to meet some relatives in the same area, living in an apartment. She committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of the apartment. Before committing suicide she kept aside her footwear, hand bag, and chunni. She died on the spot after suffering serious injuries to her head.

Police are suspecting that she could have consumed pesticide mixed with cool drink, before committing suicide as a cool drink bottle was found on the terrace. The autopsy was conducted at the local government hospital. A case has been filed and the investigation is on, added police CI
