Hyderabad CP Sajjanar IPS Visits Rowdy-Sheeters’ Houses During Midnight Patrolling

Checks their criminal history and lifestyle; advises them to shun crime

Surprise visit to Langer House and Tolichowki at midnight

Hyderabad’Nov 25 (PMI NEWS)Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, personally conducted midnight patrolling. Without any sirens or publicity, he travelled in a regular patrolling vehicle and directly visited the houses of rowdy-sheeters in M.D. Lines, Aasam Nagar and Defence Colony under Langer House Police Station limits.

He woke up the rowdy-sheeters who were at home and questioned them about their criminal history, current lifestyle, employment status, and social conduct. He warned them that strict action would be taken if they returned to criminal activities and advised them to give up crime and lead a decent life.

On Sunday midnight, the City Police Commissioner carried out this surprise inspection in the South West Zone. From 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m., he personally inspected the roads, key locations, and sensitive points within the limits of Langer House and Tolichowki Police Stations.

He also visited hotels, shops, and business establishments that were open late at night in the Tolichowki area. He warned the shopkeepers that strict action would be taken if they violated the rules by keeping their shops open during late hours.

Sajjanar examined the alertness of patrolling staff, the steps being taken for public safety during night hours, and gathered ground-level information directly. He interacted with constables and officers on duty, reviewed patrolling points, response time, and problem-solving measures.

Later, he visited the Tolichowki Police Station and thoroughly inspected the station’s general diary, night entries, staff attendance, and assigned responsibilities.

On this occasion, CP Sajjanar stated that these surprise visits are being conducted to strengthen night policing and to personally observe how staff are responding at the field level. He said that such visits, carried out as part of people-welfare policing, enhance the sense of responsibility among staff and improve the quality of services.

He instructed the staff to give priority to visible policing, and made it clear that strict surveillance on crime in the city would continue. He ordered officers to remain alert at all times and ensure immediate response teams are always ready to act for the safety of the city. (pressmediaofindia.com)
