Hyderabad City Police Reviews Functioning of CCS, Cyber Crimes, and Women Safety Wings

Hyderabad, October 15(PMI)  The Hyderabad City Police conducted a review meeting of its specialized units—Central Crime Station (CCS), Cyber Crimes Wing, and Women Safety Wing—under the leadership of M. Srinivas, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Crimes, Hyderabad City. This was his first review meeting since assuming charge.

The Addl. Commissioner assessed the performance of CCS Teams I to X, the Sahithi Cases Team, Special Investigation Team (SIT), Cyber Crimes and Women Safety Wings, She Teams, seven Women Police Stations, Clues Team, and Fingerprints Unit.

Speaking at the meeting, he stressed the importance of understanding crime patterns, staying updated on offender technologies, enhancing women’s safety, and improving investigation standards. He also emphasized fair and firm investigations, accurate evidence documentation, and the use of forensic and digital tools.

The Cyber Crimes Wing was directed to raise public awareness against fraudulent online investment and trading platforms, particularly targeting senior citizens, through educational campaigns such as reels and short films.

He also highlighted the role of the AHTU and Juvenile Bureau in rescuing missing children in coordination with Child Welfare Committees. Officers were instructed to ensure every petitioner is treated respectfully and that cases, especially white-collar offenses, are investigated promptly with timely filing of FIRs and charge sheets.

In recognition of their services, the hardworking officers and staff of the CCS, Cyber Crimes, and Women Safety Wings will be suitably rewarded.

The meeting was attended by Smt. D. Kavitha, DCP Cyber Crimes; Dr. Lavanya, DCP Women Safety Wing; G. Manohar, Addl. DCP CCS; Dr. N. Venkanna, Jt. Director & HOD Clues Teams; G. Venkateshwar Reddy, ACP Admin CCS; other officers and staff of the specialized units.
